5 Royal Wedding Mistakes You Probably Didn't Know About

Image sourced from Marieclaire

Forget Saturday bar nights, club hops or game nights, the one thing that we all did this Saturday was be glued to our television screams and be captured by the beauty of the Royal Wedding. A magnificent affair, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding held us all captive till the last minute.

Now that we all saw how mesmerized we were by the fairytale wedding, we'd like to see your jaw drop with a couple of royal wedding mistakes that have occurred in the past.

1. Pulling off A Ross -

Princess Diana accidentally said the wrong name of her to be husband - the future King. She said, "Philip Charles" Arthur George in her vows, instead of "Charles Philip" Arthur George.

2. Don't cry over spilt perfume -

Minutes before walking down the aisle, a nervous Princess Diana spilt perfume all over her wedding dress. She hid the spot during the ceremony by holding the skirts up in that place.

3. What's broken...err...can be fixed

Queen Elizabeth's tiara snapped while she was getting ready for her big day. Being persistent on wearing the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara, the tiara was welded back into its form on the ground in less than 2 hours (just in time for the wedding).

4. The Princess is never late... everyone else is too early

Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg of Denmark forgot to bring her bouquet and had to wait for 10 odd minutes to get it before she could walk down the aisle. She didn't let it get the better of her.

5. How small is too small?

Even though Prince William chose not to receive a ring on the day, he did make Princess Kate wear one. Considering how much weight Princess Kate had lost before the wedding, he requested to make it a size smaller. Post exchanging vows, Prince William though could not get it past her knuckles and struggled a fair amount.
