48th IFFI’s star studded closing ceremony
India’s one of the most prestigious film festival, ‘48th International Film Festival of India’ came to end on 28th November 2017. The festival which was held in Goa saw bevy of stars on its red carpet and various other events. The festival which started on 19th November came to a glorious end on its 8th day with a closing ceremony which was attended by the who's who from the Bollywood Industry.
The ceremony was hosted by stunning Sonali Bendre, witty Karan Johar and young Bollywood entrant, Zaira Wasim. While talking about IFFI, the ‘Dabangg’ actor Salman Khan was spotted quoting, “
"I have come to Goa for the love for IFFI".
Few prestigious awards were distributed on the last day. Director Kiro Russo received ‘Best Debut Feature Film (Director) award for ‘Dark Soul’. Parvathy Thiruvothu Kottuvata grabbed the ‘Best Actor Female’ award for the movie ‘Take off’ while ‘Best Actor Male’ went to Nahuel Perez Biscayart for ‘120 Beats Per Minute’.
Bollywood’s glam diva Katrina Kaif and Union Minister Smriti Irani presented the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ To Canadian film maker Atom Egoyan.
The highlight of the evening was when Amitabh Bachchan received ‘Indian Personality of The Year 2017’ award. Akshay Kumar and Smriti Irani did the honours of presenting the award to the legend. Known for his jovial nature, Big B tweeted about the ‘embarrassing’ moment, when Akki tried to touch his feet.
Handsome hunk Siddharth Malhotra wooed the audience with his amazing dance moves during performance at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017.
