International Film Festival of India is one of the most popular and prestigious film festivals which take place in India. The platform is known to acknowledge the talents from the global cinema.
The opening ceremony of the 48th International Film Festival took place on 20th November 2017, in Goa in presence of some of the most iconic personalities from various fields.
Hindi film industry was represented by Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Radhika Apte, Nana Patekar, Diana Penty and many more. Union Minister Smriti Irani was all smiles as she met some of the prominent names from the politics and entertainment industry. Bollywood Diva Sridevi arrived in with husband Boney Kapoor and gorgeous daughter Jhanvi, who is getting ready for her silver screen debut next year.
The opening ceremony was hosted by talented pair, Rajkumar Rao and Radhika Apte. Both enthralled the audience with their witty anchoring.
Sridevi, inaugurated the Indian Panorama section as well as completion of her 50 years in the industry on the second day of the festival. Talking about her participation in the festival, the ‘English Vinglish’ actress said, “I am eager to watch some of the best talents from Indian as well as World Cinema in the festival.”
Even after the ‘Padmavati’ release fiasco, the lead actor Shahid Kapoor managed to attend the opening ceremony looking as suave and handsome as usual. The festival will continue till 28th November 2017.
