Three Indian shooters – Jitu Raj, Sanjeev Rajput and Mairaj Ahmad Khan will compete in the World Cup Finals to be held in Italy.
The competition will be held in Bologna from October 4 to 10 for rifle, pistol and in Rome from October 10 to 16 for shot gun events.
Rai will be competing in both air and free pistols events while Rajput will compete in the men’s rifle 3-position event in which he has already won the silver medal in the World Cup in Baku.
Mairaj, performed fine in the Rio Olympics in Skeet, had won the World Cup silver at Rio.
The top eight to 10 shooters competing in the World Cup Finals will be based on their performance in the season apart from their status as the defending champions or Olympic medalist. (Source– The Hindu)
