"Orange is the New Black", was a big hit.
The show is about the rise of cocaine trade in Columbia and centres around mainly the life of real-life drug kingpins of the late 1980’s. It focuses on the chase between the law-enforcement people and the drug lord “PABLO ESCOBAR”. It is a thriller, as it keeps you stuck to your screens. As the seasons proceed, the focus shifts to other drug cartels.
3. Stranger Things:
The sitcom is a thriller featuring Golden Globe winner Winona Ryder as Joyce. The story begins when Joyce’s 12 year old son goes missing and she starts a terrifying investigation in search of him. As the investigation moves forward, it unravels extraordinary hidden mysteries. The mysteries involve secret on-going government experiments, supernatural activities and an unusual little girl named “eleven.”
4. House of Cards:
The show is a political drama, focusing American politics. The man lead Frank Underwood, a Democrat along with his wife tries to take down the people who betrayed him. Kevin Spacey’s portrayal of the ruthless politician is one of the reasons to go ahead and watch it. The show also earned eight Golden Globe Award nominations, with Wright winning for Best Actress – Television Series Drama in 2014 and Spacey winning for Best Actor – Television Series Drama in 2015.
5. 13 Reasons why:
Based on the novel “13 Reasons why”, by Jay Asher it is a heart wrecking story about how a girl is bullied at her high school which ultimately ends her in committing suicide. The story revolves around Hannah who takes her own life, and two weeks later her classmate finds a box in which there are recordings by Hannah explaining why she took her own life. Each reason she reveals the name of a person who made it difficult for her to live.
6. The Crown:
The lavish Netflix-original series is about the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The show begins with giving insights of the early reign of the queen, who ascended the throne at the young age of 25. As decades pass, her reign is plagued with personal rivalries and romantic affairs. The Crown is part of a welcome trend back toward standalone episodes in streaming TV. Claire Foy’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth is imply tremendous and one of the main reasons to go ahead and stream the series.
