Kapil Sharma is one prominent name in the world of Indian television industry presently, mainly because of his natural talent as well as for his sudden rise as a celebrity in such a short span of time. Many controversies has been associated with the stand-up comedian turned TV show host cum Bollywood actor.

The actor rose to fame with his comedy show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ on Colors. Kapil’s terrific sense of humour and his camaraderie with his co-stars made the show an instant hit with the viewers. When the issue of his increased remuneration arised, Kapil decides to join hands with Sony Entertainment and started a new journey with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in 2016. Most of his colleagues from Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti, Ali Abbas too joined him on this new venture.

Everyone from Bollywood to Marathi cinema took notice of the growing popularity of Kapil Sharma and his show and made a beeline to promote their projects through this platform.  But slowly the news of Kapil throwing tantrums on the sets and with his co-stars, started making rounds in media. Things turned bitter when Kapil humiliated and physically assaulted co-star Sunil Grover during a plane journey in a drunken state. The news made headlines where everyone tried to speculate the outcome. Sunil Grover quit the show after the incident followed by Ali Asgar.

The show’s TRPs were drastically affected by the fallout between the actors. The channel tried to make it work by adding new elements and actors in it but failed miserably. Meanwhile Kapil’s health was deteriorating rapidly due to hectic work schedule. Some might say that his drinking was the reason behind it but soon the channel decided to take the show off air with mutual understanding with Kapil. The show went off air in August 2017.

Kapil has been surrounded by many controversies, like being rude to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to his breakup with alleged girlfriend Preeti Simoes. The comedian turned actor has been currently treated for anxiety, sugar and blood pressure problems in Bengaluru.  

As per the latest media reports, Kapil’s show will resume small screen in October as soon as he is finished with his medical treatment. Kapil insisted that due to his unbalanced diet and hectic work schedule his health was affect and he has opted for Ayurvedic treatment to overcome the problem.

Kapil confirmed that his medical treatment will be completed by September end after which he will start promotion of his forthcoming movie ‘Firangi’. Once he is fulfils his commitments he will resume with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

Now, what will be the new format of TKSS? Who all from the former cast will join him? How Kapil will bring out the novelty in the show? – All these questions will be answered when the actor and the channel are ready, till then it’s a wait and watch for us, viewers!
